We are happy to share an important update regarding Solana performance on our infrastructure. Today, we completed internal Solana shred timing tests comparing local datacenter shred delivery with standard Jito Shredstream delivery. The results were consistent across many consecutive slots.
Key results:
Local datacenter shreds arrived approximately 2–3 milliseconds earlier on average
Local delivery was first in the majority of observed slots
Standard Shredstream delivery showed higher duplicate shred counts, which aligns with later arrival
On Solana, even a few milliseconds can have a direct impact on block visibility, transaction timing, and latency-sensitive workloads.
These results reflect exactly why we built LocalShred™.
LocalShred™ delivers Solana shreds locally inside the datacenter, reducing network hops and providing earlier visibility compared to standard delivery paths.
LocalShred™ is now:
Completely free
Available for all Solana RPC customers running on bare-metal servers
This applies to eligible servers in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. No additional configuration is required on your side. In case you are an existing customer and would like to enable LocalShred for your server, please contact us.
LocalShred™ is especially relevant for:
Latency-sensitive Solana RPC workloads
MEV searchers
Trading systems
Timing-critical infrastructure
